Privacy
The shortest honest answer we can give.
People are not profiles. We treat data the same way we talk about people — with consent, with restraint, and with a strong preference for collecting nothing we don't actually need.

What we collect right now
A small list, on purpose.
When you join the Signal
Email address and which interest checkboxes you ticked. That's it. We never ask for your name, address, phone, or birthday here.
When you send feedback
The text you wrote, the page you sent it from, and the time. Email is optional — only included if you typed it.
When you sign in to a SlackerVision Account
Whatever you give to our auth provider (Clerk): email, OAuth identity if you used Google/Apple/etc., and the session cookie that keeps you signed in across apps. We don't see your password — Clerk handles that.
What we do not collect
- · No website analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Mixpanel, no Posthog, no pixel.
- · No advertising cookies. We don't run ads on the site.
- · No location tracking.
- · No social-media tracking pixels (no Meta Pixel, no TikTok pixel).
Where it lives
Who else can see your data.
We use a small number of third parties to actually run the site. Each one only sees the piece of data they need to do their job.
- Clerk — handles account sign-in for SlackerVision Account at
accounts.slacker.vision. Sees your email and any OAuth identity you connect. Their privacy practices: clerk.com/legal/privacy. - GitHub — feedback submitted through the floating "Send a signal" widget becomes a private issue in our own GitHub repo. Only Sam (and tools acting on Sam's behalf, like Claude) can read it.
- Vercel — hosts the website itself. They receive standard server logs (IP address, request path, user agent) as part of routing requests, which they retain briefly for abuse prevention and debugging.
- Email provider — when the Signal newsletter wires up (it's a placeholder form today), the destination will be a transactional/newsletter service like ConvertKit or Buttondown. We'll name them here on the day that flips on.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers. We don't have advertisers.
AI training
Your data is not training material.
We do not use feedback, signups, or account data to train AI models. We don't sell it to AI companies. We don't scrape it into anyone else's training set on our behalf.
Sam uses AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT) to help build and review the site. Those tools see code, content drafts, and sometimes individual feedback submissions when Sam reads them — the same way a human collaborator might. They are not fed bulk visitor data and they do not train on submissions.
Karmic Weave & Wishing Well
Future systems, future privacy commitments.
Karmic Weave is an early prototype. Wishing Well is a future experiment. Neither currently stores rich personal data — there is no live card database, no relationship-ring store, and no public wish intake.
When those systems ship for real, this page expands first. Specific commitments we're building toward:
- · Identity stays separate from app profile data. Karmic Weave card content lives in its own store, not in your auth record.
- · Sharing is opt-in. Nothing about you appears to another person unless you actively chose for it to.
- · Export and deletion before launch, not after.
- · No deterministic claims, no compatibility verdicts, no ranking — the data model itself refuses to support those.
Your controls
How to delete, export, or ask a question.
Email sam@slacker.vision with the subject "Privacy request."
You can ask for:
- Deletion — we remove your email from the Signal list and any feedback submissions tied to your address. Best effort within 7 days.
- Export — a copy of what we have associated with your email.
- Account deletion — for SlackerVision Account itself, you can also delete directly from your account page at accounts.slacker.vision.
- A question — if anything on this page is unclear or you think we're wrong about something, write to the same address.
The boring parts
Jurisdiction, changes, the rest.
SlackerVision is operated from the United States. By using the site you understand your data may be processed there.
If you're in California, you have additional rights under the CCPA. If you're in the EU/UK, you have rights under the GDPR. The deletion and export controls above apply to you the same way they apply to anyone else.
If we make a material change to how we handle data, we'll update this page and bump the "last reviewed" date at the top. We won't change the spirit of it without telling you.
We are a small project. We will get something wrong eventually. When we do, we'll fix it transparently rather than pretend it didn't happen.
